A HILLTOP RETREAT WHERE ARCHITECTURE UNFOLDS AROUND WATER AND VIEWS.

Perched at the highest point of the site, Scarletta commands sweeping views of the lake and surrounding landscape. Conceived as a six-bedroom holiday home, the residence takes inspiration from the familiar silhouette of a contemporary barn, reinterpreting it as an elongated retreat that stretches across the length of the plot. Defined by openness, light, and a constant relationship with water, the home creates a living experience that unfolds between expansive vistas and intimate moments of repose.

CONCEPT & EXECUTION

PERCHED ABOVE THE LANDSCAPE

Occupying the site's highest point, the home embraces panoramic views of the lake and distant hills, allowing the landscape to become an ever present backdrop to daily life.

A CONTEMPORARY BARN

The residence reinterprets the archetype of the barn through a linear form, soaring volumes, and a restrained architectural language that feels both familiar and contemporary.

LIVING WITH WATER

Running parallel to the home, the pool becomes an integral part of the architecture. It connection between the communal spaces and private bedrooms.

ELEVATED RETREATS

The upper-level bedrooms enjoy dual aspects through dormer windows and balconies, offering varied perspectives of the surrounding landscape throughout the day.

SUSPENDED IN LEISURE

A hammock-inspired floor suspended above the pool transforms a simple connecting corridor into a place for gathering, lounging, and experiencing the home from an entirely different vantage point.
