Dark and plush with hints of industrial elements, inspired by Nefertiti – this line of limited edition bespoke furniture is distinctive and bold – this is for the brave! Nefertiti was queen alongside Pharaoh Akhenaten best known for her painted sandstone bust, which was rediscovered in 1913 and became a global icon of feminine beauty and power. Beauty has arrived.
As architects ourselves, we have always revered the works of master architects like Oscar Nieyemeyer, Le Corbusier, Charles Correa and Michael Graves, amongst others. So we reflected upon their landmark building; namely the Mondadori Building by Nieyemeyer, Le Corbusiers' Assembly Building in Chandigarh, Charles Correas' Kanchenjunga and Michael Graves' Denver Public Library. And then we also took to the mundanely functional wall hooks which discreetly don the walls of every household. It is said that innovation is taking two things that already exist and putting them together and we did exactly that. We put the two together to pay homage to these stalwarts to design wall hooks which by themselves, are to-scale miniature marvels on the walls and also, beautifully double up as hooks for your hand bag, a scarf, a belt or even a watch.
